Friday the 21st November 2025 was Schools’ Jubilee Celebration Day for the year of the Pilgrimage of Hope. To mark this occasion, we held a Celebration of the Word Service to give thanks for all that we have done and received, and to reflect on the message of Hope we continue to bring as Pilgrims of Hope. We reminded ourselves of our Jubilee Pledge and that the message of Hope does not end but is carried forward into all that we do.
This service was a joyful way to begin the day and we were accompanied by beautiful singing to enhance the liturgy.
Further to this, student assemblies led by Shannon in year 11, Ms Turner and Mrs Markova reminded us of Pope Francis’ message of the Jubilee Year of Hope;
“To celebrate the Jubilee with deep faith, lovely Hope and active charity”
Impact:
- As a school we were able to reflect collectively on our journey of Hope
- Remind ourselves of the jubilee pledge we made and our place on the Jubilee Map with other schools across England and Wales, in solidarity with one another.
- Take time to pray as a community – with spontaneous and congregational led intentional prayers.
- Embrace the gifts of the Holy Spirit by using these gifts to sing and enhance the liturgy, giving greater glory to God and in service of one another.
