Press Release: St John Fisher Catholic Comprehensive School Sixth Form Results 2024
St John Fisher Catholic Comprehensive School is pleased to announce our 2024 examination results.
- The average grade for technical qualifications was a Distinction –
- The average grade for a vocational qualification was a Merit +
- The average grade for A Levels was a D+
These grades reflect the hard work and commitment that our students have put in over their seven years with us. Many of our students are going on to study challenging courses at elite university, including:
- Nkosilathi (A, A, B) who goes on to study Computer Science at University of Edinburgh
- Sofia (A, B, B, B) who goes on to study Architecture at the University of Greenwich
- Yican (A, B, B) who goes on to study Pharmacy at UCL
- Ademide (B, B, B) who goes on to study Accountancy and Finance at the University of Kent
- Tino (Distinction*, Distinction*, B), who goes on to study Nursing (Adult) at Cardiff University
- Nicholas (B, C, B) who goes on to study MLaw at University of Reading
- Lucian (A*, B, A) who goes on to study Psychology and Criminology at University of Westminster
- Lana (Distinction, Distinction, Merit, B) who goes on to study Physiotherapy at Canterbury Christ Church University
It is a great day, celebrating the success of our students. Huge congratulations to them on their achievements. Other students have been accepted to read the following subjects at these fantastic destinations:
- Forensic Psychology at University of Portsmouth
- Aerospace Engineering at Kingston University
- Educational Studies at the University of East London
- Pharmaceutical Science at the St George’s, University of London
Headteacher Dympna Lennon said that ‘As Headteacher of a proudly comprehensive inclusive school, I recognise the challenges that our students have faced over their time in sixth form and am delighted for each and every one of them and applaud their hard work and resilience. I am pleased that so many are going onto study at university or undertake high quality apprenticeships and wish them all the best in their onward study. Our teachers have worked tirelessly to ensure our students are able to progress onto the destination of their choice and would like to express my sincere thanks to all staff, parents and students who’ve worked together over the past two years.’
Head of 6th Form Emma Bailey said ‘I am delighted with our 2024 Key Stage 5 results; this is testament to the hard work of our students and staff. I would like to say thank you, as these results have provided a wonderful gift as I begin my retirement. I am so proud of our students who have had so much success and are moving on to amazing and exciting University courses and educational and vocational opportunities.’
